I don’t know who needs to hear this today, but maybe this is for you as much as it was for me. This morning while I was driving, I felt the Holy Spirit keep repeating one simple phrase: “Be brave.” If I’m being honest, there have been so many times I’ve been afraid to share my faith. Even praying over my food in public, I’ll catch myself whispering because I’m worried about what people might think. There have been moments when I felt someone needed prayer, but fear kept me silent. What if nothing happens? What if I look foolish? Who am I for God to use? I’ve backslid before. I haven’t always been the strongest Christian. Sometimes I wonder why God would choose someone like me. Then God reminded me of Moses. When the Israelites were trapped at the Red Sea, God told Moses to stretch out his staff over the water. Imagine how crazy that must have sounded. Moses could have questioned it. He could have frozen in fear. He could have refused. But he obeyed. Moses’ job wasn’t to split the sea. His job was simply to be brave enough to raise the staff. God performed the miracle. That hit me hard. Maybe God isn’t asking us to create the miracle. Maybe He’s just asking us to take the step of faith. To have the conversation. To pray for that person. To share His name. To trust Him with the outcome. I’m preaching to myself more than anyone else. I don’t want to be known only as the mortgage guy. If God is willing to use me, I want to say yes—even when it’s uncomfortable, even when I’m afraid. Whatever Red Sea is standing in front of you today, be brave. Your obedience may be exactly what God uses to change someone else’s life. “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” — Joshua 1:9 If this encouraged you today, share it with someone who needs the reminder. #BeBrave #FaithOverFear #Jesus#
