Although many other country’s experience heats higher than this degree wise Our buildings are designed to trap heat in and we also don’t have air conditioning. in the UK for example the moist sea air traps sweat on the skin , making it dangerously harder for your body to cool down ,UK infrastructure’s uses dark asphalt and slate roofs that absorb solar radiation and radiate heat back out, British cities are densely packed with concrete, narrow streets, and minimal green spaces, trapping heat at ground level, Spanish homes utilize external shutters, awnings, and deep balconies to block sunlight before it hits windows which we don’t in the uk , Most UK homes feature heavy carpets and underlay that insulate rooms, whereas Spanish homes use cool ceramic tiles, High-pressure summer systems over the UK often bring stagnant, completely still air, preventing any breeze from cooling the skin, Urban pollution in UK cities traps heat and creates a heavy, stifling atmosphere that restricts comfortable breathing, Spain features public water fountains and widespread swimming pools, which are rare and inaccessible in most UK towns and UK businesses do not alter working hours during extreme heat, forcing people to commute during peak solar radiation.
