the best spot for a hotel in rome. and I got it on expedia. was hotel erdarelli. its like 10 minute walk from trevi. the pantheon was like another 5 minute walk. the coloseo was maybe 25 minute walk. I was like in the middle of everything. then there's a mall like 5 seconds from the hotel. it doesn't look like one at all. but you'll see the stores walking by. its literally next door. all name brand stores multiple floors. Vatican city was maybe 45 minute walk. I walked everywhere.

y'all I stayed legit IN FRONT of the colosseum back in february and it wasn't a scam 😭 less than 120 bucks a night too (pic of the rooftop)

Yeah, got to check the reviews on multiple sites… check the age and number of reviews. All their reviews are in the last month 🚩… less than 100 reviews (especially in “old” cities) 🚩🚩🚩. I also take the address that is listed and go to Google street view and look around.

We stayed at Hotel Relais de papi. Breakfast included. 10 min walk to Vatican City. We walked to Trevi fountain (20 minute walk) we also used the bus to get to the colleseum because it was a little far

That sucks! Happened to me in Bologna. Had to wander the streets in 105 heat with my bags until I found a hotel with an open room 😣 I cried then, but laugh about it now. Good luck!!!
