@thewildcarrotfarmstead: A Christian herbalist is someone who believes God created plants for food and healing, who acknowledges Him as the source—not the plants themselves—and who approaches care prayerfully, biblically, and with spiritual discernment. • We recognize the choices we have in our walk with God and respond by surrendering our entire self to God. • Approaching God in this honest and holistic way brings our faith to life in every aspect of our life! • And in holistic health and herbalism, there are 5 aspects of life that contribute to our overall well being. • These areas in our life can be broken down into emotional, physical, mental, social, and spiritual. • So you can see that if God is the throne of your heart, which it is, for us- and is the core of everything we stand for- we’d want an herbalist that acknowledges, understands and honors these lifestyle and belief systems as well, since these aspects of life permeate so deeply in our Christian culture and into every bit of these five aspects of life! • We approach treatment and healing differently than say, a pagan herbalist. • We pray for you. We pray together. We’re concerned with your spiritual well being and your relationship with Christ. • We ask if you’ve first ask for healing from God, before we treat. • We also share similar belief systems. • And that’s important. Just like if you’re a non-Christian of any sort, you may not be comfortable with this sort of practice. Just like a Christian might not be comfortable with yours. • And that’s ok. 💕 • I am not here to say other herbalism practices are wrong, but to simply highlight the importance of finding an herbalist that fits your needs and lines up with your holistic lifestyle as well. • The Christian Herbalist was born out of a desire for community, to share knowledge, information, and assistant. • But more importantly, to support other Christian Herbalists who feel besieged by the message that to be truly an herbalist and plant healer one must also be a pagan. 💕 - - - #christian #herbalist #naturalhealth #homeremedies
