With the latest testimony from Apple and Jade’s mom, this case feels even more circumstantial. Apple and the best friend’s testimony help connect a lot of the pieces because, without them, this very well could have been ruled a suicide. When I say “circumstantial,” I don’t mean weak. I mean there isn’t one single piece of evidence that tells the whole story. Instead, it’s a lot of smaller details that fit together like a puzzle. I also think the investigation was handled poorly. Hopefully this case leads to changes in how these types of investigations are handled moving forward.
