only prune in the fall after leaves have dropped. it needs to be capped on height so it focuses on branching out and producing fruit, not growing in height.

I live in Mass (geography matters here), and there’s a Pear tree in front of my house. She gave A LOT of fruit last year, and I have already seen a lot this year, too. Let the tree grow!

Deep root watering, amazing. Tell us about it pls. I tried it and got mixed results. The size, length, numbers and depth of the pipe depends on the trees. Even there age makes a difference

Pear, apple & peach trees commonly have a good harvest every other year. With that being said I’d agree with her. Pruning is only going to help reconcentrate growth and prepare for next years harvest

After its done fruiting, chop the branches small. Dont let the tree grow tall, rather let it grow horizontally

all the orchards around me prune in like february when it's really cold. it can stunt your growth pruning them when the sap is up. we trimmed back an apricot tree when I was a kid when it was summer time it never grew another fruit.

That’s how fruit treats grow. Start with less than get more every time you prune.

It’s pretty high, and will only get higher. You’ve got a good amount of lower growth

Vegas Gardener :
Pruning in spring gets more. It's not going to produce new fruits now. If it does it won't complete the fruiting cycle. Pruning it now will just clean it up.
