1. I asked 15 women over 35: “What do you regret the most?” Most people think the answer would be careers, relationships, or big life decisions. But the response I heard most was this: “I wish I had started living for myself sooner.” Not because they didn’t work hard or love their families. But because they spent years being everything everyone else needed… and slowly lost themselves in the process. 2. Many said they simply followed the path they thought they were supposed to. The “responsible” degree. The stable job. The expected timeline: career, marriage, kids. Then one day they realized: “I did everything right… but I’m not sure I chose any of it for me.” It wasn’t a lack of achievement. It was a lack of ownership over their time and choices. 3. What they regretted most wasn’t what they did. It was what they talked themselves out of. The opportunities they avoided. The boundaries they didn’t set. The dreams they pushed to “later.” And later quietly turned into never. 4. One woman said something powerful: “I spent years waiting for permission to live.” Permission from parents. Partners. Society. Until she realized no one was coming to give that permission. She had to give it to herself. 5. If you’re in your 20s or 30s, don’t wait another decade to understand this. You’re allowed to build a life that reflects what you want, not just what’s expected. That realization is exactly why I started building something of my own in the pockets of time I had as a healthcare worker and mom of two. Now my mission is helping other women — especially moms — realize they can do the same. If you want to see the training that helped me get started, 👉🏻 comment READY and I’ll send you the free breakdown.
