@stlflix: Created by: 3d.humbe Translated by: @stlflix_ 🤯 With just ONE click, I removed all the supports from a 3D print, and the result blew my mind. Here's the deal: parts with extreme overhangs are almost impossible to print well. A 3D printer builds layer by layer, laying down melted plastic, so it always needs a surface underneath to place material on.When a model has very steep angles, some areas get printed literally in mid-air… and that's where gravity ruins everything. The part deforms, the surface looks rough, or the print just fails. The usual fix? Supports. They create temporary structures to hold up those empty spaces. And while supports work great, they come with 3 big downsides: they add tons of print time, waste material, and leave ugly marks on the final part. But while digging through the weird corners of the internet, I found an experimental feature that promises to fix exactly that. 👀 It takes advantage of the viscosity of hot plastic. Instead of printing overhangs fully in the air, it uses the model's own walls to support and stick each new line, almost like the printer builds a bridge using the part's own geometry as support. The result? Fewer supports, less waste, and a much cleaner print. 🔥 Would you try this on your next print? Let me know 👇 And follow for more 3D printing tips!

why not just print it upside down no extra material and ur not fighting gravity complicated simplicity for no reason

For everyone saying to change the orientation before printing, this model is just an example. Sometimes you have a model that has overhangs regardless of the orientation. This is helpful information to have.
