That is not entirely true. You will never get to someone’s session unless you are in his browser’s account. Besides most websites do not use session id to authenticate you. They use auth token embedded in the JavaScript code and not as a cookie.

that method is not always true, because many app like tiktok use many session token to store sessionId or even the entire session (basic info) with sometimes different values. so at least you know exactly the role of each of them that method is just a trick that works on weak website with poor session management. also as an engineer i know that secure app verify session in every page load with server database so that it can't have data confusion as you described. However hackers can't easily pass security guards. the best way they always use is to stole credentials of high role users and then the can do bad stuff on the app.
