@transformersmovie: For #Transformers: Dark of the Moon, @ilmvfx combined photography and digital effects to achieve this complex action sequence. Shia LaBeouf was filmed on wires in front of a bluescreen at high speed, using photography from a real location and a real car to produce a more realistic environment. The background was built from stills, and ILM animated Bumblebee’s transformation and motion while layering in CG smoke, sparks, debris, and glass to seamlessly complete the shot.
