RIVERS STATE POLICE COMMAND CP OLUGBENGA ADEPOJU INTENSIFIES SECURITY OVERSIGHT, STRENGTHENS INTERSTATE POLICING WITH AKWA IBOM State Command. In a renewed drive to enhance security and sustain the fight against crime, the Commissioner of Police, Rivers State Command, CP Olugbenga Adepoju, psc, mnips, fcia, conducted an extensive operational monitoring and supervision exercise of Police personnel deployed along the Ogoni Road corridor to the Rivers–Akwa Ibom State boundary. At the interstate boundary, he was joined by the Commissioner of Police, Akwa Ibom State Command, CP Mohammed Baba Azare, fsi, as both Commissioners reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening inter-state collaboration against criminality. During the exercise, CP Adepoju emphasized that the monitoring and supervision of personnel would be a continuous exercise aimed at ensuring maximum operational efficiency, discipline, and visibility policing. He stressed that the sustained security initiative is designed to deny criminal elements any hiding place within Rivers and Akwa Ibom States, while reinforcing the confidence of residents and road users. The Commissioner further appealed to members of the public to remain vigilant and support the Police by providing timely and credible information on suspicious persons, movements, and activities.
