I’ve had neuropathy for years. Low iron for years. Taking iron supplements for years. I’ve asked multiple doctors for an iron infusion and they’ve all said no because “it’s too rough on your body”.

I have heavy periods and when they stop my periods, my iron levels go up. I am currently sitting at a 24 ferritin. I’ve been saying since I was 14, my periods make me sick and no one wants to listen.

My ferritin was a 7 and they told me to take iron supplements, got it checked 6 months later and it was a 3, they said you’re fine and it’s nothing to worry about! Mind you I was having dizzy spells and feeling like complete shit!
