earlier in the month was reported that all 5 of our astute class HK subs were docked due to a bottleneck in maintenance. Lack of investment in facilities and our only capable sub lift was out of action for a year.

The UK is still building 8 x Type 26 frigate & 5 x Type 31 frigate. They've only cancelled the untested Type 82 destroyers & Type 32 frigates. Frankly, its a good thing as our civil service/MOD has a terrible track record with managing anything. Both are filled with too many nice but dim Managers who couldn't manage their way out of a paperbag
