Eiji y Aslan tienen el lazo más grande que e visto, ambos son almas gemelas y su amor trasciende lo romántico, la historia que banana fish cuenta es muy profunda, que muestra la cruda realidad que algunas personas viven, generando que cuando lo vemos no podemos evitar preguntarnos ¿y si el final hubiera sido diferente? ¿y si Aslan y Eiji al fin hubieran podido ser felices?, pero el mensaje que quería transmitir el anime no era ese, y minimizar toda su historia a un Bl no es lo más sensato ya que de Bl no tiene nada, su historia es mucho más que una historia donde dos adolescentes se “enamoran”, es la crudeza de dos chicos luchando por sobrevivir en un mundo de mierda con el único consuelo de saber que se tienen el uno al otro
