I swear by hot water. Every time my bf buys me flowers I always us hot water with the plant food they provide then put the flowers in and they will last a month if not longer. Once he got me flowers right before a long road trip they spent 2 days in my car. they were dried out and my whole family said they were too far gone. I did what I always do and within 2hrs they looked brand new

Dip the whole hydrangea bloom in water for 20 to 30 min. They absorb water through their petals too.
