I grew up without AC and I used to sleep naked on the floor because the floor is slightly cooler. I'd barely get any sleep and I spent the summers miserable, taking multiple cold showers daily to cook down. I will NEVER live like that again

We're kind of in denial. Instead of treating this weather like a nuisance that is going to go away and just surviving we need to accept that all our future summers are going to be like this. Probably even hotter and for longer periods of time

“Make you poorer” actually he means it makes you less “productive”. No one cares about hot days when you were able to go for walks, take siestas, sunbathe, and just exist. But in a world where you need to be juiced into productivity 24/7 then yeah A/C helps you profit maxx.

Heatwaves happen for a few weeks during the summer when kids have no school. And if it's that hot to go outside businesses close and people have a day off. We work to live not live to work like in the US.

As an American, I genuinely feel bad for the common person without AC. I’m in a cold part of the US where our climate is pretty close to the UK. I still need AC. I’m chronically ill and I absolutely NEED it. I hope you all can find relief… being hot is no joke
