Welcome back to 'Cooking Like it's the 90's
Welcome back to 'Cooking Like it's the 90's"... Do you remember the frozen mini pizza stacks? I can't remember who sold them, but oh my god they were brilliant...I honestly reckon I lived on them for about a year in my teens... So this is my homemade version! I made a quick 3 ingredient pizza base, using just flour, olive oil and water and it gives you this lovely thin, slightly chewy base that tastes exactly like the original I forgot to get freezer bags big enough for these, so I froze them between baking paper, before popping them in an old bread bag - which in itself seems like quite a 90's mum sort of thing to do?? I've written up the recipe for these below - let me know in the comments if these were a favourite of yours and also where they came from?? Amy x Makes 6 pizza 330g plain flour 1 tbsp olive oil 150ml water Pizza sauce Grated Mozzarella Dried Oregano Salt and ground black pepper Place the flour in a mixing bowl. Stir in salt and pepper. Add the oil and water and use your hands to combine it into a dough. Flour the worktop and roughly knead into a smooth ball. Divide into 6 equal balls and roll them out until they're a circle, cm across. Place 2 on a small lined baking tray. Spread with pizza sauce, top with grated mozzarella and add a sprinkle of dried oregano. Place squares of baking paper on top of the pizzas and lay more pizza circles on top. Repeat with the toppings, before layering more dough, until all 6 pizzas are made. Freeze for a couple of hours until solid, before transferring to a bread or freezer bag! Bake in the oven at 200C from frozen for 15-20 minutes #90s #homemade #nostalgia #foodmemories
