@pahadi.education7: [ Ep - 11 ] Details about coffer dam use before bridge construction to support bridge .. Answer -- A coffer dam is a temporary, watertight enclosure driven into a riverbed or ocean floor to facilitate underwater bridge construction. Engineers create it by hammering interlocking steel sheet piles deep into the ground to form a sealed wall, then pumping out the trapped water to expose the dry riverbed. This creates a safe, dry workspace below the water level where construction crews can excavate, pour concrete, and build the bridge’s massive foundation piers. Once these concrete pillars are strong enough to permanently support the bridge's weight, the coffer dam is dismantled, leaving a rock-solid foundation standing firmly in the water #pahadieducation7 #nepaliconstitution #foryou #civilengineering #nepaliconstruction
