@counsel.kikuku: An Open Letter to SPIRO: Powering Electric Mobility Requires More Than Motorcycles SPIRO has introduced a revolutionary idea to Africa by promoting electric motorcycles as a cleaner, cheaper, and more sustainable means of transport. Many riders embraced this vision with the hope of lowering operating costs while contributing to environmental conservation. However, the daily reality on the ground is becoming increasingly frustrating. The biggest challenge is battery availability. Riders frequently arrive at swap stations only to find that there are no charged batteries available. A motorcycle without a battery is no different from a fuel motorcycle without fuel—it cannot generate income. Every minute spent waiting for a battery is money lost. What makes the situation even more difficult is that riders continue to be charged daily, regardless of whether the battery swap system is functioning efficiently. This creates the impression that the financial burden is placed entirely on the rider, while the company bears little responsibility for service interruptions. A business relationship should be based on fairness. If riders are expected to meet their daily payment obligations, then SPIRO should equally guarantee a reliable battery supply. Where service is unavailable, there should be room for flexibility, compensation, or meaningful engagement with riders instead of rigid daily charges. Constructive criticism is not opposition. Those of us who depend on SPIRO’s services want the company to succeed because our livelihoods are tied to its success. But success requires listening to customers and solving operational challenges before they damage confidence in the brand. So, SPIRO has two options: Either style up by ensuring every swap station has sufficient charged batteries and by introducing fairer policies for riders, or hire me. I am ready to join your team and help identify practical solutions to improve battery logistics, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency. Sometimes the best ideas come from the people who experience the system every day. A strong company is not one that never receives criticism; it is one that listens, adapts, and improves. SPIRO has the potential to lead Africa’s electric mobility revolution. The question is whether it is prepared to power that vision with excellent service—not just electric motorcycles. @SPIRO Uganda #foryoupage❤️❤️ #fyp
