Dont downplay the 2010 season that Wesley Snijder had. he beat messis barça in the champions league semi final and was a runner up in the world cup, having won joint top scorer. if Modric deserved the 2018 Balon D'or for similar reasons Wesley Snijder deserved the 2010 one as well, but FIFA didn't want to see Ronaldo have 6 balones D'or.
