few years back my voice used to be more higher pitched and strained and loud... went through a lot of things over the years, a lot of therapy and spiritual awakening. now my voice is soft spoken, deeper, calmer and has a bit of a gutteral growl under it. I used to be anxious 24/7. now it takes a lot to bring me out of myself

Agreed, 17/18yo me used to love getting voicemails from a boy that I was head over heels over and I would listen to them whenever I was feeling meh and just being able to hear his voice lifted my spirit, gave me enough energy to get through my double shifts at Panera. Lol, haven’t experienced it since. Bring back voicemails and letters!

This also makes me think about how our voices change over time as we move through life. Especially for woman I’ve come across (myself included) who have gone through a lot, our voices seem to get deeper and raspier.

whenever I was doing the online dating thing, I would ask for voice notes for this reason. If i contracted when I heard it, or just didnt like the sound I would end it there. Voice is big for me as a sensitive person.
