Some people’s hair just don’t lift past that yellow tone though, you have to break through those layers of pigment and if there’s any old color on the hair or anything that yellow pigment isn’t gonna lift out by just foiling it it out damaging the hair. Ur hairdressers are absolutely not scamming you!

literally, this is my hair with no toner. i’m a natural level 7 blonde it literally only takes one round of bleach to get it this light.

Yeah, you’re right, you don’t always need a toner, but then again there’s clients that want certain tones which you would NEED a toner for no matter the lift

I need toner on my hair because I like no yellow BUT just because I’m getting toner does not mean that you shouldn’t lift my hair up high enough

i think that depends on the stylist...if they are good with colour formulations...a clear toner would have added shine and would help seal the cuticle as the hair was bleached and a clear toner would help to even out porosity, added shine and seal the cuticle after bleaching. they teach this in most professional colour classes.

You do need toner even a little bit to even a tone. not beach shit of it. Also untonned hair would not look really nice. Toner will stay even moth after cause it gives a blonde more natural look

My hairdresser does mine without a toner, it’s always beautiful, I’ve gone to some other places and they always have to use a toner, then the toner washes out and I’m an awful yellow x

I did a full Targaryen-esque blonde the other day. She lifted pure white and I still used Igora Vibrance toner in 10-1 + clear to get that extra cool and glossy end result. A good toner adds longevity to the color as well 🤌

I learned that after bleaching your hair, you should apply toner. If you don't use toner after the bleaching process, will it damage your hair? Is that true or false?

I hate toner! Everytime I get my roots bleached they say I need toner I want bright blonde I think it makes it dull! I’m naturally bright blonde so my hair lifts perfect !
