I had to teach between my grandma dying and finding out the information for her funeral. I was warning my anxious year 11s that I wouldn’t be in for a few days, and telling them I’d leave lots of help for their revision. One of the kids came to me at the end and asked where I was going and told me to have fun, I said “oh.. it’s a funeral unfortunately”. A few months later the same kid gave me a card saying “you never stopped helping us or making us smile, even when you wanted to cry”. BAWLEDDDD my eyes out
