@ioneremciucarchitects: Tropical Resort with Clay Bungalows, Thatched Roof and Lagoon-Style Pool. A riverfront resort complex designed by Ion Eremciuc Architects, situated on the banks of the Danube River in Romania. The project integrates vernacular building traditions with contemporary hospitality design: clay bungalows topped with traditional thatched reed roofing create a natural microclimate, keeping interiors cool during summer without mechanical intervention. A lagoon-style swimming pool with organic curved edges and crystal-clear turquoise water forms the spine of the complex, flanked by lush tropical and riparian landscaping — date palms, ferns and dense ground cover that echo the Danube Delta's natural vegetation. Timber pergolas and shaded terraces connect each bungalow unit to the pool edge and communal areas. A pool bar completes the leisure circuit, designed for convivial outdoor living. The location on the Danube riverfront adds a rare natural asset — river views, delta microclimate and proximity to one of Europe's most biodiverse ecosystems — making this project a landmark destination in Romanian ecotourism and hospitality architecture.
