For a long time I taught myself digital and focused on fan art... I kinda thought I had to go that route to find work but I wasn't passionate about it. I eventually was led back to traditional art through a full-time job as an artist at a grocery store, of all things. Though I no longer work there, painting giant depictions of food became my niche

I recommend buying a “free” sketchbook- one that you don’t mind making mistakes in. Mine was one from Amazon and it’s become my favourite! It’s about the size of my hand, and I have some amazing drawings in there, some mid drawings and some terrible ones. And that’s the point! It’s not supposed to be good, it’s just supposed to be

coming here from an older video but I see you often have issues with lipophobic powders, im not an artist but I am a chemist so I would suggest trying out a few surfactants if possible, you'd probably have to find one that wont mess the colour up but im sure a see through one exists

this is exactly how I discovered my art, no joke! I tried almost every single physical medium imaginable, from rock painting to wall murals to coloring pages, and I could not find the place I needed to express. I felt like there was never going to be a future where my art would exist in a way that satisfied me. I just wasn't "the message I wanted others to see", no matter what I tried. what finally unlocked it for me was digital art, and although it took me TWENTY YEARS to get where I am, I am now a proud and excited artist who is about to submit into their first contest 😁😁😁
