If everyone watches the full draw for themselves and not jump to conclusions, they skipped a spot because drawing factors is that the top 2 FIFA ranked teams which is Spain and Argentina must be drawn into different pathways so they will only meet in the final. That’s why they skipped over group I and went to group J. If Argentina was in group I, they would be in the same pathway as Spain and as a result, not play Spain in the final. Context is key.

The top four seed are specifically placed to not cross paths before semis. Also if Uruguay and Portugal hadn’t sucked they would have faced Argentina in 16th and 8th rounds. As well as it being a harder group because it was only one of four that played against a 2nd best team rather than a third

I don't think the draw is rigged with hot or cold balls. I think FIFA designs the rules and bracket using probabilities and statistics to make certain scenarios more likely. It doesn't guarantee a specific path, but it does increase the chances of it happening. That's the difference.

Also the rest of the teams had not been picked yet so they wouldn’t have known that was the easiest path yet. Just be the best and it doesn’t matter

I feel like it was rigged because on the last day of group stage games Ronaldo and Messi played the 2nd to last time slot & the last possible time slot. How did FIFA get it to have the two most watched players to be the finale of the group stage. With that being said, if Portugal won their group they would have the same path as Argentina

Ronaldo fans have the most time in their hands. Easiest way to put this is fifa prob wanted Argentina vs Portugal to meet eventually but me I’m back couldn’t beat 2 out of his three opponents
