@viral_classics: The audience LOST it — and honestly? Same. This is a 19-year-old Sally Field on The Dating Game (1966), long before she became a two-time Oscar winner. She was fresh off playing Gidget on TV and had zero idea she’d one day be one of Hollywood’s greatest actresses. 🎬 Here’s the wild part — two of the three bachelors behind that screen already knew her. One had been her surfing instructor while filming Gidget, and another had actually dated her back in high school. She had no idea. The show set it up that way on purpose. 😭 Bachelor ##3— the “Cream of Wheat” guy — was none other than Robert Vaughn , a Hollywood actor himself. He wasn’t just some random guy. He chose violence with that answer and delivered it with the confidence of a man who knew exactly what he was doing. 👏 Oh — and the prize Sally won that day? A Jackie Gleason record album. The same Jackie Gleason who would later play her father-in-law in Smokey and the Bandit (1977). The universe was already writing the jokes. This was actually the very first episode of the primetime version of the show on ABC — so “Cream of Wheat” was one of the first moments the nighttime audience ever saw. What an entrance. 🙌 TV in the 60s was completely unhinged and we are SO here for it. 📺✨ Follow @viral_classics for more classic internet gold that the internet keeps trying to forget. 👀⬇️ #Vir#ViralClassicsl#SallyFielde#TheDatingGamea#ClassicTV
