It is so great to see a coach on here talking about slow and steady performance and feel. I couldn’t agree more this is what I tell my clients all the time. You’re amazing . It’s nice to see a real fitness coach who knows what he’s talking about.

Another analogy I always think of nowadays as someone who has lived in discipline long enough to adhere to a lot of these concepts is a proverb for navy seal soldiers - they don’t rise to the occasion, they sink to the level of their training. When the bar you’ve set has been raised over and over (after mindful and progressive changes), things don’t get easier - you just get better. It becomes easier to break the rules a bit because your body and mind can afford it. You stop stressing (usually) over the little things because you’re calculated and know how to dial back in before it’s too late. You grow and get stronger because you understand how nutrition fuels the body and by extension, your workouts. The attention, execution, and adherence to detail in the very beginning sets you up for a physique, mindset, and longevity that will only continue to serve you in the best ways 🤷🏽

I’ve been sitting at abt 200 cals below maintenance (2100 at 2300), hitting at nearly 90% accuracy, and getting leaner (granted slowly), but also getting stronger and a bit bigger in the process. Any point in changing anything around, or just sit here for a while until progress slows and then re-assess? Love the videos tho. Look forward to them and learning

Honestly for me the only thing that worked was focusing on process. I’m ignoring timelines or dates and all the other noise and just focusing on optimizing diet, sleep, cardio, and strength training to work toward progressive overload. I learned that being solely results oriented was getting in my way. That may not work for everyone but I’m just trying to trust the process and tweak if necessary.
