🚨LILY SCHEDULED FOR EUTHANASIA 6/30 @ 11AM FOR MEDICAL🚨 Lily is a stray English Bulldog who urgently needs a capable hero willing to take on her medical needs. She came to the shelter after reportedly being struck in the mouth with a weed eater, leaving her with painful wounds to her mouth and tongue. During her exam, the vet also discovered that Lily has a cherry eye in her right eye and severely stenotic (narrowed) nostrils, making it difficult for her to breathe. In fact, before she could even be examined, she became so distressed while staff attempted to leash her that she started turning blue from lack of oxygen. Both her cherry eye and narrowed nostrils require surgery to improve her comfort and quality of life. She also needs time for her oral injuries to heal. Because Lily is in pain and has difficulty breathing, she can become reactive when a leash is introduced and may bite at it or redirect onto nearby objects. Once leashed, however, she walks to the yard without issue. She needs an experienced, VERY FINANCIALLY CAPABLE foster and rescue or adopter (cannot rely on donations) who understands that her behavior is likely influenced by pain, stress, and difficulty breathing. You cannot just get her because she’s a cute Bulldog. She needs major medical care that will cost a lot of money and is not optional.
