I’m SO EXCITED for you and I don’t mean to be a Debbie Downer but before you open your rugs…if you’re teaching in a different school district than your student teaching experience….make sure the fire department allows rugs and what sizes. Also, don’t cut any tags off pillows, etc. PARENTS AND STUDENTS WILL 🩷 YOU!!!

a little side note... consider displaying your degree in your classroom as well. one of my daughters teachers did that and I thought it was a great idea! she said "this was my office, so why shouldn't i display it!?"

You can use the boxes to hold extra supplies! I also saw a really cute thing where you put googly eyes and a smile on markers and glue sticks then name them, that way kids are personally attached to them and don’t want to loose them!

You should do a pink or white Christmas tree in your classroom this year and have the kids make ornaments!!

for the little plastic storage boxes, there probably not doing much math but you could make fun math games like snakes and ladders but to move on u have to answer a simple math question but in the boxes u could have dice and counters (dice to see how many spots u move and counters to mark your spot) but you can play it as a class! and it's super simple just a little container for math kits!
