Everyone tells me I sound like my mom on the phone, especially her side of the family. I called my uncle, aunts, cousins and told them I was pregnant. My heart broke when they texted me after that they cried after we hung up because I sound just like my mother.

I sleep with my mom's hoodie on my bed cause it still smells like her even though I've had it for years. Whenever someone asks about my parents, I say they're separated but my mom is busy and can't come get me or something instead of telling them she's gone. it's better than getting the "oh I'm sorry"

i have my mom’s voice. every time i answer the phone when my grandma calls she says she thinks its my mom for a split second and has to remind herself all over again that shes gone :( i love having similarities to my mom but it also breaks my heart a little
