Our mom lives with me; my sister has her MIL living with her. Both have dementia but my sister still finds the time to help with our mom. I am so lucky to have my sister.

Exactly. I was the primary care giver for my parents. My mom passed away almost 6 months ago and my brother didn’t even come to her funeral. He had the nerve to ask me for her life insurance and will. My dad is in a nursing home with Alzheimer’s very much alive. Dad is mom’s beneficiary. I’m dad’s durable and medical power of attorney. My brother is disinherited per both of my parents wills. He’s come to see my dad twice since my mom passed. Dad doesn’t know who he is.
