As a former city employee...there is a reason they are phasing out Chargers and other sedans. They are easier to get in and out of, they have a better resale value, and in places with weather they do better with 4wd and traction.

County I work in has some pickups for patrol. They work well on dirt roads and in the rural/country areas. Not so much for chasing people. Last few chases I heard them in the pickup units had to have other vehicles take over because they couldn’t keep up with the suspect’s vehicles.

You shouldn’t (can’t) take the suvs or the mustang/chargers up in the mountains on a chase of the looney toon redneck FF who’s been chasing people with fireworks & drinking 🤣 or in the area where rescues need to happen when there’s still snow.. everyone gets stuck once in a while 🤣
