I get where you’re coming from, but I don’t love a white woman telling people to educate themselves on hoodoo. You are so correct about the origins. It was an open secret. It was a way to practice spirituality in a safer way. But it also became real after generations to people. Black Christianity is oppressive in its own right, but it’s part of our history and culture too. It’s not always good. Obviously. But there’s a line that shouldn’t be crossed. I respect you so much though. And you have very valid points about patriarchy that should be heard.
