What hurt me was seeing this person was absolutely capable of meeting the expectations I had, they just chose not to do it for me. The reason I knew they could meet my expectations was because I seen them meet it for other people. Actually, they exceeded my expectations with other people.

As a secure person, I would also frame basic needs / bare minimum as standards and not expectations. I don’t expect anything of anyone. I just observe and see that they don’t meet those standards. Once I see that, I accept and leave.
