No, "yahoo" has not always been the go-to exclamation at the Calgary Stampede; in fact, the city originally shouted "yipee" or "whoop-eee". "Yahoo" didn't become the defining Stampede cheer until the mid-to-late 20th century, and it was deliberately chosen to separate the event from the American "yeehaw"

Stay away from big rodeos. Ponoka is the biggest I'll attend honestly💀. Its wayy better in a small town there you can litterally get a seat that's right next to the chute.

its a tourist trap... i quit going once they started doing introduction laps on events to explain the rules to the audience... like if your a city folk and have zero clue this would be a great place to start and see if rodeo is your intrest. would also be intresting with Calgary new noise bylaws, if it effects the stampede music events.
