I’d mirror the people around me, their style, their interests, even the way they spoke, because fitting in felt safer than standing out🥺 Even now, I catch myself doing it. Sometimes I leave a conversation wondering, Was that even me? Finding out I have ADHD helped me understand that years of masking had made me lose sight of who I actually was.
