@sikfankitchen: natto are fermented soy beans that contain healthy bacteria called Bacillus subtilis. This creates probiotics that are beneficial for your gut health, digestion, and lowers cholesterol and blood pressure. The texture is quite unique, overtime the soy beans develop a sticky slimy texture similar to the insides of okra. However, the beans itself remains firm. They’re traditionally eaten in Japanese cuisine served over rice. In this recipe, I’ve added a bunch of seasoning to offset some of the bitterness along with a jammy egg for richness 😊 Ingredients: - Packaged natto comes with a seasoning packet + mustard - Soy sauce - Sesame oil - Furikake (rice seasoning) - Jammy boiled egg (boil for 7 mins and place in an ice bath) - Togarashi (Japanese chili pepper) - jasmine rice #natto #nattoricebowl #nattorecipes #japanesefermentatedsoybeans #japanesefood
