Firstly Islam is as diverse as Christianity, the countries with the most Muslims aren’t even Arab so this kid doesn’t know what he’s talking about, he’s just being biased. Secondly, if he think Islam is backwards, tell him to have a look at the Old Testament which he believes Jesus Sent, examples: "I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man; she must be quiet." (1 Timothy 2:12) "Women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the law says." (1 Corinthians 14:34) "Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord." (Ephesians 5:22) "If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered, he shall pay her father fifty shekels of silver. He must marry the young woman, for he has violated her. He can never divorce her as long as he lives." (Deuteronomy 22:28-29)
