Great tips! I'm also a big proponent of redundant tools if you need them in different places or at different times. For example, you could have a set of cleaning supplies upstairs and downstairs so you don't have the friction of retrieving it. I have multiple copies of the same pan so that I'm not slowed down when one is dirty.

Funny story, I use a monthly pill organizer for birth control, AdHD med, antidepressant, vitamins etc. I packed it and it took me 4 days of struggling at work to realize I forgot my adhd meds 😂

I put things in front of my front door or hang them on the door knob, write sticky notes at eye level or stick them on everyday items like wallet and keys, I put things in the fridge or in the middle of walkways that don’t belong so I remember, as well as leaving “weird” doors open like cabinets or laundry or literally anything, and “pre” prepare items for later for when the capacity strikes like pre-pasting my toothbrush and laying it out on the sink, putting my shower cleaning spray and brush right outside my shower (or inside) so I have it when I’m ready to clean, or put my daily medication on the very edge of surfaces (like its about to fall off) so that the next step feels like just one easy step as well as a reminder. Also I have hard rules I do my best to follow: one example is I never ever leave a crusty dish in the sink, it HAS to be rinsed. I’m allowed to have a sink full of dishes but i always make sure the dishes aren’t nasty for later and the drain is always open and the sponge is ALWAYS up and dry as well as tall dish gloves. This helps if you have sensory issues. Oh and I endlessly text myself and don’t open it so I see it.

For the trashcan tip, I still struggle with even the action of getting it into the trashcan. Or worse, throwing that trash can out! So now I just have full/overflowing trash cans all over my place. Deeply struggling on creating actual systems for me & my family😭

I have three night time covenants. Setup the coffeemaker, floss and take off my eye makeup. After I setup the coffee, it is super easy to load the dishwasher and turn it on. I’m right there. It’s easy to brush my teeth because I’ve already flossed. It’s easy to wash my face and do skin care because I’m right there. And if I’m depleted I can do the bare minimum and I still have progress

I need to do this. I need to put my medication bottles next to my snacks. It’ll help me remember to not only eat, but take my medication’s right after I eat since I’m not supposed to take them on an empty stomach.
