I was a little underwhelmed by the original trilogy, but LOVED this book. Darrow's POV was also not my favorite, and in fact, were my least favorite. But Lys and Ephraim were SO good, and Lyria is my favorite character in the entire damn series (okay...second favorite...cause Sevro...). Dark Age is the weakest book in the whole series for me, but then Lightbringer is the best. Curious to find out how you end up feeling about them.

I don’t know if I will continue the series after Morning Star. I liked the original series, but didn’t love it as much as everyone else did. And that series ended in such a good place that I think I’m happy to leave it there.

I really love the second trilogy so much going on! I think getting to see what happens after the rebellion is such a good choice. I really like the new characters as well and I love getting different perspectives on the main characters
