Alcohol; 10+ people (none of which are “chaperones”); and on the water. Most were late-teens/early-twenties. Frontal cortex not fully developed until mid-to-late-twenties. What you think as someone who is 30+ does not compare. (My daughter is close in age and I see how “stupid” and “unaware” her friends can be.) In the end, this is sad… but the reality is we don’t know what happened. People need to wait for evidence/testimony. 🫤

Hear me out, they were drunk, she fell off. They either tried and failed to save her or thought she was joking and when they finally realized it was too late to save her. Either way they panicked and left
