I can't stand this mentality. people need to understand that hindsight is 20/20, ESPECIALLY when it's not something they had to live through themselves. I'm so glad you were able to get out of that and choose a better life for yourself and your child. and I love that you're sharing your story so people can understand the reality of this kind of life

Now we have smartphones and can google anything with low effort, people miss how much safer that fact has made life (ofc the internet can be dangerous, but it has advantages too). The thing my parents made sure of was that I did not have a smartphone or unsupervised computer access when I was <18, so that I could not find resources against their abuse.
