So many people don't understand that GOOD roosters are little gentleman who would HAPPILY lay their lives on the line for their ladies. 😭💕 This is my Shostakovich watching over all my grow outs, including several cockerels, like they are all his own! 🥰 He even fought off a hawk by himself and WON to protect his girls!!

Awww my big roo is such a provider too ❤️❤️and protector..we had a chicken coop fire a few years back and when I ran down there to let them out of the run so they would survive..he had as many as he could fit in a corner and he was shielding them with his body and wings 😭😭

My Dandy is such a good boy, he looks after his girls. He finds yummy things and calls them over and they go running to him, he breaks little pieces of food for them and puts it on the floor and calls them :) he’s is a Dutch bantam

I had a rooster that would pick peas for my little girl. She would pick them herself, but he always liked to help and would drop them at her little feet. 😊
