A L A D I K U N :
Eastern region, Western Region, Northern region are just locations and do not equate tribal name or linguistic group.
Geographical zones are based on tribal affiliations unlike regions. They were not dividing land equally, it is tribal group being grouped together. South East group that you belong to are the Igbo tribal group, or did anyone shift Anambra away from Enugu and Enugu away from Ebonyi, or is Imo shifted away from Abia? That your tribal land is small and less than Oyo State is where your ancestoral culture covers.
South West is Yorùbá Tribal group including Lagos. South South is the minority tribal group (Ijaw, Edo, Itshekiri, Ògoni, Kalabari, Akwa Ibom, Ogoja) are all grouped together as minority groups called together as South South.
Before Geographical Zone (tribal Groups) was employed, we had:
Western Region (including all Edo and Delta e.g Benin and Asaba were parts of Western Region. That didn't make Edo and Delta Yorùbás)
Easter Region included today's Rivers, Akwa Ibom, and Bayelsa (that didn't make them Igbos)
Northern Region included Plateau, Taraba, Kwara, etc etc that did not make everyone Hausa.
So, based on Geographical Zones that identify groups, you are not squeezed up, your tribal group are just isolated as South East comprising States. Lagos is South West because it is a Yorùbá tribal state. Àbi you want them to add it to South East?
Read with open mind. When Buhari said Igbos (South East) is a dot in the ocean, did anyone argue it?
