My husband is a highly skilled general contractor. He will tell you the same thing. Buy an old house with good bones.

I confirm, my husband builds homes and he says most of new homes are being build with less product and a lot of space between wood. Old houses have great strong homes and last longer than new ones

Buy an old brick house from the 70s you may have some updates but it won’t forsake you

It’s always important to hire an inspector. Always make sure you’re not budgeting too low either. There’s ALWAYS gonna be an issue SOMEWHERE.
