My dad moved countries to get a job to support the family and lived abroad for 10 years solely to send money back home whilst my mum looked after me when I was sick, my sister and my newborn baby brother. He came from absolutely nothing and built his way up and I will forever be proud to have him as my father

My dad worked (still does!) so hard, in his industry he is one of the most knowledgable and experienced at what he does. He is in demand, but he’s stayed with a local company since he trained at 15, he’s been with them almost 50years. He’d work 6 days a week, but every sunday, would be a family. He’d take the “sports shift” to take me to cricket training, rugby training, matches and games every evening. He hasn’t stopped since - only now, he does it for his grandbabies, and he says that being a parent is a privilege but to be a grandparent is his favourite. X
