yeahhhh all of this is TRUE BUTTTTT.. U have to call. ( if someone answers) give info, apply, get excited, feel relief, get refused because the program is either A. CLOSED or B. Not enough funds. Been waiting to get on the list in Michigan for 5 years

My friend applied for one of these programs, they said they would give her $8k towards a new bathroom, said they had to use an approved contractor. Approved Contractors quoted $30-45k. Like what???? For a not big bathroom

my grandmother got her house weatherized for free. they identified all areas that needed to be sealed, and even installed a new hvac system.

weather program in iowa doesnt replace a lot its based on housing type and income limit. if its a moble home the assistance is take down to 2 things only

This is useless in this economy a family of four making 60k a year can not get into a house haven’t been able to since 2020. And even if they bought the house before that for cheap. People making 60k a year are losing their houses because of how high the taxes and insurance has gotton. I really don’t think there is any family of four out there making 60k that still own a house.
