this is wonderful! I am having such a hard time because my work clothes have to be "business causal" (whatever that means) plus functional. I bend, kneel on dirty floors, carry heavy items, and reach up high. for the guys it's so easy to just throw on a polo 😭

This reminds me of years ago realizing that for a lot of gigs, I can wear yoga pants or leggings or joggers as the bottom half of my concert black and still honestly look pretty professional and put together. I think in my profile pic I’m wearing a pretty casual athletic cottony jumpsuit from old navy that looked fine with fancier shoes, jewelry, makeup, and hair for me to play in a pit almost under the stage lol. I was free of horrible dress pants and could breathe easier, literally

Thats so interesting! I feel the most confident when I’m comfortable. My clothes won’t get in the way of whatever I want to do; wrestle a bureau up to the third floor, argue with the IRS, ride a mechanical bull, cuddle a rugby team. Whatever the day brings me.
