@remyw.anders: People don't understand the Monsanto Supreme Court ruling. No one in the case cared that Roundup has been proven to cause cancer or that Monsanto was found guilty of falsifying the studies to show it was safe.
The Supreme Court rules on the laws surrounding an appeal process. The ruling does make sense… it is not the job of SCOTUS to do the job of the EPA or to correct a law that the Legislative branch screwed up. Study Civics

An incredibly pro-corporation court. Somehow more pro-corporation than the court that ruled on Citizens United

Stop saying the system doesn't work. It is working perfectly. The system is set up to protect the corporations over the people. The system is bad/evil but it is working.

The Supreme Court was asked to make a ruling about FIFRA, which is the federal law that gives the EPA the authority to label these items. Does FIFRA preempt the state… That is ALL they are to rule on. SCOTUS is an appellate court, It DOES NOT try cases. It reviews lower-court decisions to rule on specific questions. In this case the court ruled 7-2 that FIFRA preempts the state… that the lawsuit was null because the EPA had chosen to give RoundUp a clean bill of health on the labeling. Gorsuch and Jackson wrote the dissent.

Meanwhile iowa has some of the highest rates of cancer in any population in the history of human record, I'm sure that has nothing to do with the amount of corn fields sprayed with roundup 😭

They falsified studies to show it doesn't cause cancer. The EPA approved a label that didn't include a cancer warning because of those studies. And now they can't be sued over causing cancer because they followed the EPA? W.T.F.?
Can the EPA not just revoke that label because we know it's incorrect now?
